Plasma Electrode

he plasma torch electrode conducts electrical current to create and maintain the arc for plasma cutting tasks. The energy flowing through the electrodes also ionizes the gas in the torch nozzle, creating a plasma jet. Electrodes are compatible with specific brands and series of plasma torches. Over time, a dimple forms at the end of the electrode. Electrodes should be replaced when the dimples reach the manufacturer’s recommended maximum depth. Typically, the electrode and nozzle are replaced at the same time to maintain optimum performance of the plasma torch.
